Location:
Lake Maggiore is the second largest lake in Italy and is
located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. Lake Maggiore is characterized by beautiful nature and impressive
mountains. There are also beautiful beaches. This is the perfect destination in northern Italy if you enjoy beautiful nature
and want to be active.
Activities:
From the village, you can take a boat across the lake to other towns. Nice trips include the Borromean Islands in the middle of the
lake and the characteristic towns of Stresa and Baveno to the south.
Exploring the shores of Lake Maggiore by bike is also highly recommended. Just a 15-minute bike ride from Ghiffa and you are in bustling
Intra. Another 10 minutes further and you are in charming Verbania.
Chiffa:
Chiffa is best known for its unique UNESCO World Heritage Site, better known as the Sacro Monte di Ghiffa. The nature park covers
hundreds of hectares of unspoiled mountain terrain, dotted with spiritual shrines.
